Risk management (REAL risk management) is about taking a holistic view of your business and identifying the wicked problems that pose a threat to profitability – whether that be your people, your culture, your operations, or your finances. Insurance is a part of this equation, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle. The real sources of risk are immensely complex. (And few of the people parading as “risk managers” are equipped to help you deal with these.)
