Since the Affordable Care Act was passed (and recently upheld) insurance exchanges have been a frequent topic in the headlines. Also referred to as a “defined contribution” strategy, exchanges offer an innovative cost containment alternative that employers can take advantage of now. Exchanges have been around for some time and will continue as a viable employer strategy, independent of health care reform.
This workshop features two experts on the topic to discuss the current offerings that employers can implement now. We'll also discuss what we know today about the public exchanges created by health care reform, both state and federal.
Exchanges are here to stay. Come to this event to learn how they are working today and what is likely to be available in the near future as health care reform is implemented.
TOPICS COVERED:
- Defined contribution strategy & health care exchange basics
- Advantages of exchanges to deliver employer sponsored benefits
- Overview of current exchange business models
- How health care reform will affect the private exchange market
