Lots of changes are on the horizon for wellness programs now that health care reform is the law of the land. Starting in 2014, health care reform increases the allowable incentives from 20% to 30% of the total cost of coverage (and up to 50% if you include tobacco cessation programs).
This presents a tremendous opportunity for employers to reward those in their company who stay healthy and to drive costs down by creating a healthy culture.
